"My husband was in the neighborhood and picked up some patties: chicken & beef and some pastries with pineapple & currants. I really enjoyed the pastries especially the pineapple flavored because it reminds me of the Taiwanese pineapple cakes. It's not as much pineapple as a Taiwanese pineapple cake but just as good!? D'Appetiz delivers on all fronts. A true gem in New York City."

"I came for a chicken Jamaican patty. It was perfectly baked and warmed to perfection. It made it out the front door and into my mouth within seconds!! The ambiance is inviting. Stay for a minute but not awhile. Nice takeout location."

"The food, for the most part, was great! My friend and I each had the bbq chicken, veggie patti, and spinach. They were good. He had the base of white rice and I had the peas and rice. My friend liked his rice and I found mine bland. Same with the veggie patti, same different ratings from us. I wanted to try the veggie lo mein but they were out out of it. The bread pudding for dessert was very enjoyable.

Counter service was friendly. Ambiance was basic with a long dining table for everyone. Restaurant was clean."
